Eleanor Hooper – Example of work
Condensed Biog:

I am a performance artist, vocalist, music producer and a circus and theatre director and co-director of Pif Paf, a renowned outdoor theatre company known for its visually striking and emotionally resonant work. My practice spans music, theatre and visual storytelling, transforming everyday spaces into places of imagination and connection.
Over the last twenty years, I have co-created large-scale community performances for thousands of participants and directed works such as Toast, an interactive journey through seasons, stories, and song. Through my music production I have pioneered the integration of voice, sculpture, and technology, creating installations embedded with movement sensors that transform audience interaction into sonic and visual experiences. Works including Celestial Sound Cloud, Sunshines On a Fallen Tree, Echoes Of Glass and And…Breath establish sanctuaries where her sculptural forms become responsive instruments, conducted by audience movement to generate changing soundscapes and light patterns. My work has toured extensively to venues including Norwich Minster, Nottingham Minster, Turner Contemporary, WOMAD, Glastonbury Festival, Oxford and Cambridge University Museums, DeGevleugeldle Stadt Ypres, the National Theatres of England and Wales, with features on BBC Radio 3

Alongside this I lead outdoor wellbeing projects such as Waymaking, guiding community groups through forest bathing, song, and landscape connection in the Staffordshire Moorlands. My work continually explores how communal voice and embodied presence can foster healing, connection, and joy in both public and intimate spaces.
My debut EP FIBRES pushes vocal composition boundaries through organically constructed harmonies interwoven with digital effects. Intricate layers and poignant lyrics addresses themes of addiction, helaing, loss, and motherhood, standing as testament to her innovative contributions at the nexus of music, performance, and technology. Through my multidisciplinary practice, I continues to explore how ancient practices of communal voice-making can address contemporary needs for connection, healing, and transformation in both intimate and public spaces.
